Put the bag down. Enjoy the event.

A suitcase is dead weight at a festival, a match or a gig. Singapore gives you a different set of ways to be rid of it for the day than most cities: a staffed counter at the airport, and booked storage inside ordinary shops, because the MRT stations have no lockers. This page sets out how each one works and what it costs.

At Changi Airport: the Left Baggage counters

Changi's Left Baggage counters, run by Smarte Carte, are in all four terminals and at Jewel, in both the public and transit areas, and they are open 24 hours a day, every day. No advance reservation is normally needed: the service is walk-in, and every bag or item is inspected before it is accepted, as part of the airport's security requirements.

Rates are charged per 24 hours and include GST: loose items S$6, small items below 10 kg S$11, big or odd-sized items above 10 kg S$16, and extra large-sized items S$19. The airport describes the service as built for short-term needs: a layover, a transit hotel stay, or the hours while you wait to check in somewhere in the city.

The honest gap: no lockers at MRT stations

Singapore's MRT stations do not have public luggage lockers. Bounce's Singapore page says so plainly, and gives the reason: strict security policies. Major attractions are not a fallback either: Bounce notes that Marina Bay Sands does not offer public lockers, and Stasher notes that Gardens by the Bay and Sentosa do not lock up your luggage for you. So the city pattern is different from Tokyo or Seoul: you store at the airport, at your hotel, or in a shop that takes bags by booking.

Booked shop storage: Stasher

Stasher books storage inside approved hotels and shops: you find a point, book and pay online or in its app, drop the bag, and collect it later. Its Singapore page lists more than 10 locations across the city, hosted by local shops, cafes and hotel receptions, with coverage densest around Changi Airport. Prices start from US$2.49 per bag per day, and every booking carries the Stasher Guarantee, which protects bags up to US$13,000.

Bounce: book a shop near the event

Bounce runs the same idea at larger scale in Singapore: its city page lists 82 storage spots, in local shops, hotels and other small businesses, including points near Orchard, Bugis and City Hall MRT stations. Prices start from S$3.50 per day, with no extra charge for a larger bag, and bookings can be made in advance or on the spot through the app or website, with free cancellation and bag protection of up to $10,000 per booking.
