DINO-A-LIVE at Sentosa: December's family show
Fifteen life-sized dinosaurs walk the hall at Resorts World Sentosa from 3 to 6 December 2026: ON-ART's DINO-A-LIVE: Dinosaur Odyssey is the company's first large-scale indoor production outside Japan. Showtimes, ticket prices from S$58, the family package maths, and how to build a full Sentosa day around the show.
There are dinosaur exhibitions, and then there is a Tyrannosaurus walking past your seat. DINO-A-LIVE, the Japanese live dinosaur experience built by ON-ART, brings its DINOSAUR ODYSSEY production to Resorts World Sentosa from 3 to 6 December 2026: fifteen life-sized dinosaurs moving through the hall around the audience, in the company's first large-scale indoor production outside Japan. If you pick one big family outing for the December school holidays, this is the one the kids will talk about into January.
What you need to know, in short
DINO-A-LIVE: Dinosaur Odyssey runs at the Resorts World Ballroom, Resorts World Convention Centre, Resorts World Sentosa, from Thursday 3 to Sunday 6 December 2026. The show lasts about 70 minutes with no interval, and it is non-verbal, so there is no language barrier for any child. Showtimes: 8pm on 3 and 4 December; 11am, 2pm, 5pm and 8pm on Saturday 5 December; 2pm, 5pm and 8pm on Sunday 6 December. Tickets run from S$58 to S$128, plus a S$6 booking fee, with a family package of four Category 3 seats for S$320. Book on Klook through this page, or via SISTIC.
What actually happens in the room
The dinosaurs are not animatronics bolted to a set. Each one is a DINO-TECHNE suit, a self-supporting mechanical costume developed by ON-ART over more than 20 years and patented in 14 countries, worn and piloted by a trained performer. That is why they move the way they do: blinking, breathing, shifting weight, feet landing with real weight. The line-up across each show includes Tyrannosaurus, Triceratops, Stegosaurus, Brachiosaurus, Ankylosaurus and Parasaurolophus among the fifteen, roaming the performance space rather than staying on a stage, and the story builds to a Tyrannosaurus and Triceratops confrontation told through movement, music and light rather than words.
In Japan the production has drawn more than 25,000 attendees. A practical note from the venue: the show uses darkness, loud sounds and sudden movement, and Resorts World Sentosa itself suggests parents use their judgement for very young children who are sensitive to that sort of thing. Doors open 60 minutes before each performance, and the sensible move is to use that hour, because late seating with a restless five-year-old helps nobody.
Tickets, and the family maths
Standard prices are S$128 for Category 1, S$108 for Category 2, S$88 for Category 3 and S$58 for Category 4, with restricted view seats at S$52 and wheelchair-accessible seats at S$38; every ticket carries a S$6 booking fee. For a family of four, the package to look at is the Family Package: four Category 3 tickets for S$320, which works out at S$80 a seat instead of S$88. The S$168 VIP Package buys one first-row centre seat, a Triceratops plush and an exclusive photobook, better suited to one very keen birthday child than to a whole family.
Admission rules, straight from the venue: children born in 2023 or earlier need their own ticket; children born in 2024 or later sit on a parent's lap free; and children aged 12 and below must be with a parent or responsible adult. After the show, the S$30 Dinosaur Photo Experience puts your group in front of a 12-metre Tyrannosaurus for a professional photo, capped at 100 bookings per show, so add it when you book rather than hoping at the door.
Pair it with a full Sentosa day
The Saturday and Sunday daytime shows are the planner's friend. Come over to the island in the morning, do the Singapore Oceanarium at Resorts World Sentosa or a beach stretch at Siloso, take the 2pm show, and finish with an early dinner. For evening shows, reverse it: island first, dinner around the resort, then the 8pm performance and the activation area afterwards, where the kids can browse the Japanese merchandise and take photos.
Getting in is easy: the Sentosa Express from VivoCity stops at Resorts World Station, a short walk from the Convention Centre, and the Sentosa Boardwalk from HarbourFront is the pleasant option in good weather. If you are making a weekend of it, Resorts World Sentosa's own DINO-A-LIVE hotel packages bundle two nights at Hotel Ora or The Laurus with Oceanarium admission and show tickets for two adults and one child, with stays running 2 to 7 December. However you build the day, build it around the showtime; the dinosaurs are the main event.
