Join this largest mass running event! You will enjoy a unique route over the iconic Benjamin Sheares Bridge, through the new down town at Marina Bay area as well as pass historical places.

After the run, enjoy the rest of the day at the carnival, where various performances will be taking place.

There are various categories for you to choose from. This includes the competitive 21-km half-marathon and 10-km route, and non-competitive 5km fun run.

Competitive participants will each receive an event T-shirt, goody bag, personalised certificate and a finisher medal. Fun run participants will each receive a certificate of completion and an event-shirt.

Celebrate youth dynamism and vibrancy at the annual SHINE Youth Festival. Back for the sixth year, SHINE launches with activities to showcase the four interests of Arts, Culture, Community, Environment and Sports. Cosplayers also have a chance to conquer Orchard Road as their favourite fictional characters at the COSMO 2010 which presents a mascot event with mega variety of characters from video games, comics, manga, movies, youth culture and familiar faces and mascots and anime appearances. Join us as more than 1000 youths march down the heart of Orchard Road to the new *SCAPE building. Come on down for some great fun in the sun, as *SCAPE transforms into an urban beach, where you can showcase your talents with street basketball, urban volleyball and join in the Beach Pageant. Be part of the music festival cum night party featuring youth culture such as breakdancing battles, hip hop dance etc and party at the dance floor. For just one day, be part of the youth dynamism, showcase your talents, get into action and be part of this national youth festival launch with non-stop activities for 12 hours.

Singapore Oyama Karate-do Kyokushinkai-kan

Synopsis
Singapore will host the 11th Asia Full Contact Karate Championship 2008 this month.

Around 50 participants from 15 countries will pit their skills in Kyokushin Karate, the only full contact knock down style karate. They will compete in areas such as Tameshiwari (breaking objects) and Kumite (full contact fighting).

Members of the public and martial arts enthusiasts can look forward to a rare showcase of a highly disciplined and demanding martial art form and sport. It combines self-defence with qualities such as physical and mental cultivation.

The Master, Kancho Shokei Matsui, from Japan will grace the event in Singapore.
