陈嘉庚和李光前这两位先贤不但对新加坡的经济,教育和社会发展有巨大的影响;他们的事迹和人品也潜移默化的启发了后来的新加坡人甚至海外华人。为了让后人有机会了解这两位人物,国家图书馆和陈嘉庚基金特别邀请了一位熟悉新加坡历史韩山元先生带领大家参观和这两位先贤有关系的建筑;同时,也将谈及陈李二人所涉及的事件和决议,借此让人们进一步了解这两位先贤鲜为人知的事迹。
这个导览将从国家图书馆陈嘉庚与李光前展区开始,之後将参观新加坡中华总商会,福建会馆,怡和轩,晚晴园和华侨中学。这个活动的报名费是$10.50,费用已包含车费及茶点。
